What's new?

Digital Networking Architecture has changed the way many businesses build their networks. Due to these changes, Cisco has updated the requirements needed to achieve their Advanced Enterprise Networking Specialization.

Partners can still achieve AEN with the old requirements through: January 25, 2019.

  • Summary of Changes
    • Account manager
      • SBO is no longer active
      • Intro to Cisco Sales is a new option Sales Engineer
    • Sales Engineer
      • New free e-learning requirements that teach SD-WAN, ISE, and SD-access
      • Core & WAN training is gone (this training was very hard to come by and costly)
    • Field Engineer
      • ​CCNA Wireless requirement has been changed to CCNP. This requires 4 classes total:
        • WIDESIGN (used to be a separate requirement for field engineer role)
        • WIDEPLY
        • WITSHOOT
        • WISECURE
    • Other requirements
      • ​Implementing Secure Access Solutions e-learning – How to install ISE, 802.1X, wireless, etc…
      • Removed Unified Access exam

Virtualization - Networking - Mobility
As of January 1, 2019, individuals with expired certifications are not eligible to recertify by attending the associated Instructor-led training course. If a certification expires before an individual takes or passes the required exam or equivalent ILT training, one will need to regain all of the lower level certifications and pass the associated exam in order to regain certification.

NEW Citrix Cloud Certifications

1. Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Service on Citrix Cloud (CC-VAD-CC) - This certification proves skills on the Citrix Cloud platform and delivering App and Desktops using the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7 Service.

•  CXD-252: Moving to the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Service on Citrix Cloud with Microsoft Azure Or
•  CXD-250: Moving to the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Service on Citrix Cloud

2. Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Service on Microsoft Azure (CC-VAD-MA) - This certification proves skills for integrating the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7 Service and delivering apps and desktop to Microsoft Azure.

•  CXD-252: Moving to the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Service on Citrix Cloud with Microsoft Azure Or

Enhancements to the Certification Program

Emeritus Program

The Emeritus Program recognizes and provides a new status for long-standing JNCIE certification holders. By enrolling in the JNCP Emeritus Program, JNCIEs will no longer have to recertify JNCIE certifications that have been active for nine years or longer. Enrollment is optional and there is no fee. JNCIEs who enroll will also receive the new Emeritus badge for use online. View complete Emeritus Program details.

Multicertification Badges

To recognize members of the JNCP community who have achieved certifications across a broad range of our certification tracks, the JNCP program is launching new multicertification badges. These badges will be provided to all eligible candidates in the same way as our existing certification badges are delivered. Each badge will remain active for as long as the candidate holds the requisite certifications.

Those who achieve (or have achieved) three or four Associate or Expert-level certifications will earn the new designation and receive a badge. The new badges, with the designation 3A, 4A, 3E, or 4E, will automatically be provided to eligible candidates.

    • FY18 Platinum Converged Infrastructure Specialist
  • Partner Ready Competencies are no longer mandatory for FY18 Hybrid IT Specialization compliance
  • Competency requirement will be removed from PLMT tracking
  • To protect your investment -Any Competencies earned in FY18 are grandfathered into FY19 achievements

What's new?

 Microsoft Certifications Retiring Early 2019

Here’s a list of Microsoft certifications that are scheduled to be retired in the first half of 2019:
  • MCSE: Mobility
  • MCSA: Office 365
  • MCSA: Windows 10
  • MCSA: Dynamics 365
  • MCSA: Machine Learning
  • MCSA: Data Engineering with Azure
Also, here’s a list of the Microsoft certifications that were retired on December 31, 2018:
  • MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure
  • MCSA: Cloud Platform
  • MCSA: Linux on Azure

These certification retirements are due to the shift in the Microsoft Certification program moving to a more Role-based certification model.
